Root & Ratio started its journey in 2019, with the ambition of developing an independent architectural practice grounded in design, exploration, and making. Over the years, the practice evolved from architectural consultancy into a broader multidisciplinary platform incorporating architecture, construction, fabrication, and furniture. Each stage strengthened its ability to connect design thinking with detailing, material, production, and execution. Today, Wanim Raihan serves as Founder, CEO & Principal Architect, leading the practice alongside a growing generation of young dreamers — architects, designers, engineers, and makers — supported by senior advisors and experienced professionals who contribute knowledge, guidance, and perspective. Root & Ratio's goal is to develop an integrated practice capable of designing, detailing, making, and building — bringing creative thinking, technical knowledge, and practical execution together within one evolving practice

Every work begins with something unseen — a belief, a thought, a memory, a value, or a desire. **Root & Ratio** explores the space between what we believe and what we make. Root speaks to origin, identity, and meaning; Ratio to the relationships, proportions, and decisions through which these become tangible. Architecture, construction, fabrication, and making are not separate acts, but different ways of giving form to what begins within. We seek to create work that is rooted in meaning, resolved through reason, and expressed with clarity.
